One of the batteries started draining quickly recently, and so I replaced it. This would be really useful when trying to use it in a confines space. I've owned it for 3 years and used it pretty heavily during that time.
Ultimately, I replaced it with a tool box because I like to have all my bits together with the drill and there was no room in the case that came with the drill to store them. I used to have an old Panasonic drill that was made that way, and it was great. A feature I would love to see DeWalt adopt would be to flatten the back side of the drill and batter so that the drill could be set flat on its back and not tip over.
This is an excellent drill. The case the drill and charger come in is pretty good and clips shut tightly.
The exterior of the drill is pretty beat up at this point, but everything still works the way it should. The batteries carry a good charge, and I can get 4-6 hours of use out of them before losing power.
The transaction was easy and the delivery was right on time the product was just what I expected would do it again
It is the 3rd dewalt battery-operated drill I've owned, and is one of many dewalt power tools I currently own. This drill has performed to my expectations so far. The drill has met my expectations. It is a replacement for a model 929 that failed shortly after the 1 year warranty expired.
i got this drill 4 years ago it has worked flawlessly since i got it the only thing i dislike is there not being a rubber grip
I own 5 DeWalt products, the have proven to be tough and reliable, the only problem I have ever had is one of chucks go so tight It was unusable but that was after 3 years of use in machine building business.
